The event is organized by the Lombardy Green Chemistry Association – LGCA, a regional reference point for the development of bioeconomy and circular economy, and the RUMORE – Interreg Europe project.
The event aims to promote dialogue and cooperation between bio-based companies and the Agricultural Districts in the Milan Metropolitan Area, with the goal of providing new opportunities for circular economy to rural businesses through the innovative use of biomass, bringing together the interests of academics, researchers, stakeholders and policymakers operating in the bio-based sector.
During the event, there will be the dissemination of the final results of the PHA-STAR project, financed by the Lombardy Region in the context of the Smart Fashion and Design call, concerning the sustainable production of bioplastics starting from unused agro-food by-products.
